The Serenity Centre provides Yoga for Children as we believe that they too can benefit from practising self-care and developing self-awareness in support of promoting their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Adult Yoga is coming soon.
Yoga can support children to navigate challenging and unsettling times. There are many benefits for children when practicing yoga, it improves posture, flexibility, strength, balance, coordination and motor skills. It also helps children recognise and develop emotions, learning to trust their instincts.
The 8 week course will provide children with an immersive and caring environment where through stories they will learn and develop breathing techniques that increase energy, decrease anxiety and provide effective coping strategies for stress. Parents and carers are welcome to join in with their children.
The Serenity Children's Yoga 4 week course is a more condensed version of the 8 week course and may be suitable for those individuals who cannot commit to the 8 week course or those who wish to gain an introduction to yoga.
Individual yoga sessions can be provided to children who may benefit from a tailored yoga experienced or for those who are unable to attend the specified dates and times of the courses.
